Cancellation & Policy Agreement

Terms and Conditions

​

  Please carefully review the following Terms and Conditions ("Terms") regarding the services provided by J&S Reliance Driving School. As the undersigned student/trainee, you hereby acknowledge and agree that the cancellation policy becomes effective immediately upon registration. If you need to reschedule or cancel the course due to unforeseen circumstances after payment of the mandatory registration fee, please note that a strict refund policy applies due to limited class sizes and significant preparation costs.

ELDT - Entry Level Driver Training

 

   The Online Course is a final sale. Once purchased, it is strictly non-refundable and non-transferable. The course fee will be forfeited if you fail to complete it as scheduled, and any re-enrollment will require full repayment of applicable fees.

 

Cancellation And Refund Policy

​

1. Refund Conditions

• A 30% cancellation fee (max $600.00) will be deducted from tuition.

• Completed lessons will be charged at the full, per-lesson rate without discounts.

• CDL test fees ($40.00) and additional D/M test fees ($10.00) paid to the DMV are non-refundable.

• The $300.00 ELDT fee is non-refundable.

2. Non-Refundable

• Tuition fees are strictly non-refundable upon completion of the first road test or when 60% of the course has been completed.

3. Refund Application

• Students must submit a formal written request for refunds, accompanied by any required supporting documentation (if applicable).

4. Processing Time

• Approved refunds will be processed within 7 to 14 business days.

5. Other Terms

• This refund policy applies universally to all students to ensure fairness and transparency.

Lessons & Road-test Appointment Cancellation

 

  Once a student confirms a lesson or road test appointment, the specific time slot will be reserved in our schedule and will no longer be available to other students. To allow others the opportunity to complete their course requirements, please notify [J&S Reliance Driving School] as soon as possible via text at 718-205-6789 if you cannot attend your scheduled appointment. If a cancellation is necessary, students must send a text message during working hours (Monday to Friday, excluding holidays) between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

 

  For Practice Lessons: Cancellation or rescheduling must be notified by 3:00 p.m. on the working day prior to the scheduled date (excluding weekends and holidays) to avoid charges.

  NO-SHOW  FEE - A fee will be charged for the no-show case for any scheduled Practice Lesson.

Lesson Rates:

• CDL-A: $240.00/2 hours

• CDL-B (P, S): $220.00/2 hours

• Class D: $50.00/45 minutes

• Class M: $85.00/45 minutes

 

   For Road Tests: Cancellation or rescheduling must be made at least 96 hours (4 working days) before the test date to avoid a cancellation fee (working days excluding weekends and holidays).

   NO-SHOW  FEE - A fee will be charged for the no-show case for any scheduled Road Test.

Road Test Fees:

• CDL A/B Road Test: $350.00

• Class D: $80.00

• Class M: $240.00

 

Installment Payment Plan

• Applicable to students enrolled in 18 hours or more of lessons.

• 50% down payment is required at booking, and the remaining balance is due at the start of the first lesson.

• Non-Refundable Deposit: A mandatory deposit is required when booking any school services.

• Cancellation Fees: Must be settled immediately upon cancellation.

   

Learner Permit information 

​

​    Students are solely responsible for obtaining, verifying, and ensuring the accuracy of their New York State Learner’s Permit. The school is not liable for issues related to permit errors or delays.

• Please ensure your permit is accurate, valid, legible, and not laminated. Make sure you are eligible to take the exam, that your permit is still valid and not expired, that the permit is clearly legible and not laminated, that tape has not been applied to the front of the permit, and that you have the most recently issued permit with you. If you arrive at a testing center for an exam and the information on your permit is incorrect, you are not eligible, the permit is expired, the permit is not legible or is torn/ripped in a manner that causes illegibility, the permit has been laminated or tape has been applied to the front, or it is not the most recently issued permit, the examiner will not be able to administer the exam, and a cancellation fee will apply.

• If your permit has errors or does not meet DMV requirements, testing will not be administered, and a cancellation fee will apply.

• Confirm the following information for accuracy:

   · Name · Address · Sex/Gender · Height · Eyes/Eye Color · Date of Birth · Medical Restrictions

   You, the client, are responsible for knowing when you are eligible to take the exam. Eligibility requirement can be found in the New York DMV   (dmv.ny.gov), please call us if you have questions regarding these requirements.

   Original documents are required, copies will not be accepted.

 

Inclement Weather Policy

​

   The school will reschedule or cancel courses in inclement weather. Students will receive notifications promptly in this regard. 

• When inclement weather occurs, J&S Reliance Driving School will evaluate the situation and will make a decision regarding any scheduled appointments based on the severity of the conditions and the need to ensure the safety of our students and our employees.

• All students will be contacted should we need to cancel/reschedule any appointments. Please note that if you cancel or reschedule any appointment due to inclement weather (despite the school and lessons remaining open), the above cancellation policy will remain in effect.

• If J&S Reliance Driving School cancels or reschedules an appointment, no fees will apply. We will do our best to reschedule the appointment for a future date as quickly as possible. We thank you in advance for your patience during inclement weather conditions as we work to address your concerns and needs promptly.

 

 General Responsibilities

  Students are expected to: 

•  Maintain appropriate behavior, actively engage with instructors, and timely pay any school-related fees.

•  Conduct themselves appropriately in order to receive proper services and instruction.

•  Demonstrate appropriate social conduct in order to ensure a welcoming and safe environment.

•  Participate and follow through with recommendations from their coach and/or examiner.

•  Interact with Instructors, Examiners, and Office Staff in a respectful manner.

•  Promptly pay for any services they receive for which there is a fee.

•  Provide all relevant information required for services requested.

 

Miscellaneous Notes

​

• Vehicles used for lessons and exams may vary based on availability. The school do not allow the reservation for specific vehicles.

• Instructors or vehicle may vary across sessions. Such replacements do not qualify for cancellations or refunds.

• Attending or completing the courses does not guarantee the exam outcomes. Students are responsible for their own positive outcomes.

• The school reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify these terms with notice to all students.

 

Media Consent

  By agreeing to this document, you grant J&S Reliance Driving School permission to use your image and personal information for promotional purposes.

 

Interpretation of Agreement

​

• Contact information updates must be submitted in writing.

• Pronouns herein include all genders and singular/plural forms.

• Terms may be updated at the school’s discretion with notice to students.

 

   We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify these terms upon notice to all students.
